: Me gustaría que comenzases resumiendo brevemente la investigación sobre la iniciativa infantil y la respuesta materna, que partió contigo y continuó con Soledad Martín. ¿En qué consistía? ¿Cuál era el objetivo y qué se estudió?
Respuesta: Fue una investigación que surgió un poco de casualidad como muchos descubrimientos. Yo hacia el curso de investigación en psiquiatría en la Universidad de Chicago y me habían asignado como trabajo práctico asociarme a un equipo que en ese momento estaba testando una hipótesis de Mary Ainsworth sobre diagnóstico temprano del apego. Mary en esa época pensaba que tal vez se podía predecir el apego a los 6 meses, que como sabrás solo se puede establecer en las cuatro categorías (mas las subcategorías que surgieron después), al año, con la prueba del extraño.

I study the course of investigation in psychiatry in the University of Chicago and me they had assigned as practical work to associate to an equipment that in this moment was testing Mary Ainsworth's hypothesis on early diagnosis of the attachment. Mary in this epoch was thinking that maybe it was possible to predict the attachment to 6 months, which since you will know only it is possible to establish in four categories (mas the subcategories that arose later), a year, with the test of the stranger.
